Why is there three scratch marks on pigma's head in Assault? If you ask me In think its some how related to Wolf disbanding him.

Actually I think they just made it a part of his design, like a substitute for hair.

I don't know, they do look a lot like scars. I think it was more of a decorative thing, not really a relavent story factor.

Same way Wolf lost his eye; they were attacked by a monster spawned by a plot vortex.
I agree with the decorative thing, actually.

This question shares much with these:
How did Wolf lose his eye? What is Gen. Pepper's first name? What is Andross' first name? What happened to Cerinia? Why does Beltino have a moustache? What are the last names of Krystal, Fay, and Miyu? (Fox, Spaniel/Dog and Lynx as last names are never seen in a canon source.) Why did Bill change color? Why did Katt change color?
No canon answer exists.

Huh? Why does Beltino have a moustache?? I think it's because he grew one. As for Pigma's scar, all we can do is speculate but my guess is that wolf was all like "Pigma, you're a greedy hog and I ban you from star wolf! i mark you a traitor! yah!" and then he slashed him across the forehead.

could have been from Wolf after not wanting him with Star Wolf ever again. A momento for Pigma to remember that he is no longer wanted and he is an outcast of Lylat for people to resent him forever.

The differences between originals and updated designs can be a tricky thing to handle. I can only imagine what the SFAss. character design process must've been like, since the Star Wolf lot hadn't even been touched on since '97. Sometimes designers do add features because of story-related inspiration. The scars weren't by any stretch important, but whoever was put in charge of Pigma's design might've thought to add them in after being briefed on script information. We don't get that much context on the terms of Pigma's "resignation" (nor Andrew's, to an extent) so the scars might've been put there to give us a subtle hint, or to simply tease us. Beyond that, they serve no monumental purpose. ...I actually found it interesting that Star Fox was unaware that Star Wolf had evicted him in the first place. Based on in-game dialogue (and I'm going on this with foggy memory and YouTube AMVs so bear with me) I'm going to assume the two teams hadn't traded lasers since the Lylat Wars. I would've at least thought Fox'd keep tabs. Heinous criminals (one of which betrayed and indirectly murdered Fox's father) wanted by Corneria and of course rewards for their capture...all that jazz. It's possible that Star Wolf might've been keeping an extremely low profile. It's also possible that Pigma's eviction was relatively recent, meaning Panther was originally a replacement for Andrew and might've actually flown alongside Pigma for a time. Logically, Kyrstal would then be the real replacement for Pigma. Then there's the possibility that Star Fox just hasn't been paying attention to these sorts of developments.

I think Pigma's disbanding was fairly recent(maybe he forgot to bring donuts at their Sagrasso meetingand Wolf was in a bad mood as he almost always is so disbandment and the scars were his punishment ), I noticed that Fox knew that Andrew Oikinnny( I forgot how to spell his last name) wasn't in with Star Wolf anymore. Andrew was most likley disbanded 1-5 years(enough time to amass an army of mercenaries and ships and a base on Fortuna) before SFA happened, but that's just my simple(or not so simple) theory.

I think it's mentioned canonically that Andrew left on his own to try to take over Lylat again, so he wasn't kicked out. Pigma, on the other hand...
His scars are just a design thing as far as I'm concerned. There may be no canonical reason for them. I mean, is Wolf's missing eye or Panther's scar (I think that's what it is) ever explained either? No.

*Grabs Assault manual*
Actually, it does say that Andrew got kicked out and then it states that he starts a rebellion afterward. Which is kind of weird actually... As for Pigma, it says something like he was kicked out for being "unreliable and greedy" apparently Pigma must have been either kicked out recently, or was pretty quiet about it.
As for the scars, we all have scars, and most of them aren't particularly significant. I mean, don't you have scars in places? Maybe I'm reckless, but I know I have a few on me... It'd be different if the scars were actually significant, like Pigma CLEARLY didn't have those (like enough for someone to comment on them in game), but they're just normal... Scars. If Pigma wasn't living the lifestyle he was, I'd find them more interesting, but he's not, he's living a fairly dangerous lifestyle in the first place. Honestly, the fact that Fox can walk around with his pretty boy face and not have a single blemish over the years of being a mercenary is a bit more unbelievable and far more "WTFish" than Pigma.

He seemed to get pretty upset when Panther called him a parrot. So I would assume so. If not a racial slur, it's probably really offensive. I wonder if calling someone "chicken" even denotes being a coward in Lylatian speak though. XD

Hey, I wonder if calling someone "chicken" in Lylat equates to a racial slur.
That question got me thinking on what the carnivores and omnivores do for food... Does that mean (for example) Fox killing and eating Peppy constitutes as canniballism, or is it everyday? I don't know if it's just me and my sick and horribly corrupted mind or Nintendo's insanely sad amounts of contradictions and plot holes they make standard in any series they have(probably both). As for the scars, I stick to what I said earlier, after all, it's the only logical(or what passes for logic from me) explanation I can think of.

Hell, are we even sure the eyepatch of Wolf is for protection or for cosmetics? Heck, we could argue that he's handicapping himself just to flaunt his ego.

I'd like to think of it as a stylish vision enhancer. In a world where people can change their fur color, I'm sure getting a replacement eye would be easy.
