I see yet another person has mistaken Dras for a guy.  Many kudos for your work, by the way.

...and you ARE making Bill Californian again, right?

Oh no, no, I just say 'man' and 'dude' to everybody... My mother included, even though that comes with a smack or two.

And yeah, speaking of 'dude' and 'man,' Bill's the kind of guy that says things like "Oh, fer suuuuure, maaaan" and so on. But at the same time as being a typical stoner college guy*, he's going to end up kicking a lot of ass in the literal sense, and no, not just Fox's. ;D

* dialogue from episode 102 *

Fara: "So, I guess we're dorm-mates this semester, then, huh..."

Bill: "Yeah.. crazy, right?"

Fara: "Wait... college? ...But Bill, weren't you in.. umm.."

Bill: "MUTT UNIT! For six YEEEEARS... I'm the captain of MUTT UNIT for SIX WHOLE YEARS, I fail ONE LITTLE PEE-PEE
test, and they punish me by making me go back to COLLEGE... Who woulda THOUGHT, get caught flyin' around Katina smokin' WEEEEED on the JOOOOB, and they send you TO school... MAAAAAAN... Talk about a real HARSH to your MELLOW."

Fara: "......riiiiiight."

Just got home, I'll try and get some art account that doesn't have furry smut ads all over the sides of your submissions (if that's still possible these days), but in the meantime I'm going to draw a big, panoramic picture with scale models of each character I've rendered so far for the cartoon, and update it here as I add more characters in. Should look pretty neat, and fun to watch be updated, and might satisfy some people who are curious as to who's been added so far.

I'm wondering the same thing, actually.

Edit: The hell? I haven't posted here yet. Let's fix that. I echo the sentiments of pretty much everyone else here - it looks great so far, I'm highly impressed, holy crap it's actually hilarious (jaded sentiment, I know, but it's become a rarity in the SF community, seriously), best of luck, etc.
And yeah, red's reactions have been hilarious thus far; don't worry about him.

Well, I'm glad you're starting to like it. I work about 40-50 hours a week and I'm doing all of this on my own, most of the voices included, so don't exactly expect anything like "Disney's StarFox" or anything, but I'm still going to try to animate as much 'motion-tweenless' stuff as I can.

As for now, I gotta get back on drawing all the younger, 17-19 year-old characters for the first episode, which mostly takes place in a sort of "ten years ago" setting, where Fox, Falco, Slippy, Bill, Katt, Wolf, and so on are all getting ready to graduate from the CFA.. it's a great scene so far, but I still have to draw some new characters.

OH YEAH!

Speaking of the whole 'fork incident' with Wolf back at the Academy and all that, I figured I'd post this; it was a little rough sketch animation, and the very first thing I started working on for the series.

And I'll also add that I'm impressed you're not going for the cop-out excessive motion tweening route despite being the only person to animate this.

Yeah, I'm trying my best to not have any of those evil, purple keyframes anywhere in my projects, heh.

Although I used to be a sucker for them back in the day. That Fox McCloud - Voodoo Lady flash? Yeah, that was me. I think that was like, the second or third flash cartoon I ever made.

You can hit me now, if you want.

Yeah, that was awesome, but I don't have an approved thingy to show it.

So I edited Cobalt's. You shouldn't even be able to tell since I edited so much.

Whohohoah. That fork flipping around his eye-socket had me in stitches. If this quality is consistent throughout I'd say you could burn this on a couple of cheapo DVD's and sell for profitssss. I know I'd buy.

I'm kind of doing this StarFox series as practice for doing my own project with my own story/characters later on down the line. I'm not sure if Nintendo would find it the best of ideas to try and sell something that isn't copyrighted by me, parody or no..

Parody is fair use, you know.

I wouldn't worry too much about a C&D.

Though I'm sure there are limits on commercial parodies.

You have... done the incredible. I just saw the website. You have taken the audience that grew up with Star Fox, the ones that played ALL the StarFox games, and made them your primary audience: the 18 to 35. You're AdultSwim'ing the series.

...and that's awesome.

Also: nice use of Justice's Genesis there. I've been interested in the song since the Cadillac commercials first started using them. (read: I first heard it Tongue)

And regarding that guy who threatened you, don't worry about him. He might be a hothead and quite immature, but he's not evil. Hehe, I guess he'll be sneaking in and reading this.

Looks like we're working on advertising your series on the AL front page now. No guarantees, but it's definitely a point of discussion in the Circle of Nefarious Moderators and might even be brought up to the Cult of Lovecraftian Tentacled Administrators. Hopefully that'll get you some more hate mail!
