(Before anyone says anything about this somewhat screwed up world I created please know this, I posted this with a migrane so big that poking my head would knock me unconscious. So please not too much criticism)
part 1. Night of the living dead
Late one night in Riech, Germany, Fox McCloud awoke with a start. He instintivly checked his surroundings and saw that he'd been shot down by that German propeller plane he wondered what Falco would say about this. Fox had been sent to Earth on a simple exploration assignment and now he was in the middle of no where on earth with no way off of the god forsaken planet. He turned to see the shadows of humans almost limping towards him. Well, he thought, maybe these people can help me. He began to attempt to signal them by waving his arms in the air and shouting. He could clearly tell that the humans had seen him when they started walking his way. As they got closer, he starts to smell something, he took a deep breath and his brain registered it as the smell of a dead corpse. Fox snarled in disgust but he figured that these were soldiers, during his briefing General Pepper had informed him that the humans were in the middle of a world wide civil war. To him it seemed like the humans would just ignore him while he scanned the planet and gather information on the planets topography. Not the case, a German Airforce had engauged him and with their combined fire, took him down.
The humans began to become more detailed, he could make out green uniforms on them, they may be officers instead of the reagular infantry. About a minute passed and he could see one sprinting towards him, Fox had a confused look on his face, he could see the humans eyes which glowed an unnatural yellow, immedeatly Fox sensed something was wrong as the sprinting human got to him it shouted, this looked nothing like the humans he'd seen earlier, this ones organs were hanging out of it's side and it was missing it's left hand. The Ex-human opened it's jaw and attempted to bite Fox, big mistake, for Fox had drawn his black pistol and light the thing up like a candle. Fox had his mind set he was in a screwed up situation and he decided to just flat book it. Fox turned tail and started running.
"Earth," He said to himself, "You have issues."
He turned now running facing backwards, a military instint to make sure the enemy wasn't following him, the shadows faded into the distant fog and Fox slowed up. A moment passed and he heard an evil voice like one belonging to a demon.
"You did your best, and drove them into the heart of Reich. You thought they were dead. You were wrong." it said then laughed in a very evil tone. That didn't sound good, Fox thought. He saw a sign that read
   Nachtc De Untodon.
Human language, damn it. To him the sign made no sense at all but only one part did, an arrow pointing in the direction he was heading. Maybe it was a town or city. He started walking that way when a cold chill suddenly shot up his spine and that same laugh from earlier sounded in his ears.
"Who's there?" Fox asked expecting no reply
   "Someone." came an unexpected reply
   "Where are you?"
"Follow your nose my vulpine friend and you'll see."
Fox instintivly sniffed the air and smelled something good, like a steak on a barbeque, attracted by the smell he followed it, and arrived at a two floor building that had been damaged by war. He went inside and found that the room had four other windows that had been boarded up. Fox like a lot of people liked protection and started looking for something to block off the window and keep the...whatever they were out. He found a few planks of wood, some nails and a hammer. Fox wasn't much of a carpenter but when be finished the most he could do with the barricade now in place was stick his arm through up to his shoulder. He looked around and for a moment he felt so isolated the he drew his knife and came really close to sliting his wrist but some feeling in his gut told him he had a lot to live for and that his future would be almost underserved. He sheathed his knife and looked around seeing the stair case was blocked and the door to his left was locked he was stuck in this single room with only God knew what after him and that demon voice still fresh on his mind. Fox was one step closer to perminent insanity and he tried to keep himself from doing so, he checked the magizene on his pistol multiple times to make sure he had at least one shot, he looked at his scouter's display and checked his vitals, at their norm. He had a feeling that this wasn't over and that it would lead to some serious problem, his mind was working against him and so were those ex-humans he'd seen earlier. What he needed to do was find a way off of this rock and get out of here.
He started thinking of all his friends as a sense of hopelessness entered his mind.
"Krystal," He had said without thinking, "I don't think I'll ever see her again."
He suddenly heard a voice this one sounding deep but not demonic.
"This Krystal chick, she your wife or girlfriend or something?." the voice asked.
Fox turned to see a humans with a shaved head walking his way. Fox rolled to his feet and leveled his pistol.
   "Who are you?" Fox demanded
"Not one of those freakbag zombies I can safely say that, my name is Dempsey." the male said
   "Fox McCloud," Fox replied.
He heard another voice this one with a Russian acsent.
"Dempsey, who the hell are you talking to?" the other male asked
"Relax Nick, he just got here, the freaks chased him here and he was sulking over some girl."
The Russian, Nicholia walked over,"Trust me my friend, don't sulk over girls they only hold you back. Everytime I've ever been married I only felt like she was holding me back, so finally I said 'to hell with love' and I became who I am today."
Fox could smell the alchol in Nicholia's breath it almost made him gag but he fought the urge to puke and it passed.
"C'mon, we have to get the stairs cleared before zero hour." Dempsey said
Fox agreed and started heaving stones away from the barricade with his comrades.
(I'm not finished but I don't want this post to be too long so I'll post the rest later.)

About three hours passed since Fox arrived in Untodon and met Dempsey and Nicholai. The three had worked that entire time to try and clear the staircase of all the debris to gain access to the upper level. Finally Fox and Dempsey had thrown the couch that had formerly been buried by debris out of the way. With the stairs now clear, the group moved up and started scavenging for anything helpful. Nicholai found on a dresser a Double-Barreled shotgun. He grabbed it and tossed it to Fox, Fox caught it and broke it open looking for ammo, he found two eight-gauge shotgun shells loaded in it.
"How much ammo do we have?" Fox asked
"Three boxes, about 300 rounds." Nicholai replied
Fox heard Dempsey chuckle, he looked around into a hellway of what he guessed was the loft to this wartorn home. Dempsey had a pump-action shoutgun in his hands and a scoped rifle on his back.
"What the...where did you get the rifle?" Fox asked
Dempsey pointed to a closet that he had opened, Fox walked over and grabbed one and attachet a scope on the bolt-action rifle. It had been a while since Fox'd used a bolt-action, but it was better than nothing. He was very conservitave of his pistols ammo for it very expencive but aside from that, he knew that he wouldn't be able to get more ammo until he found a way to call for an emergency supply drop and get more. Fox looked out of the hole in the cieling and saw a shocking site that left him speechless.

In Siberia, Russia, an Arwing landed in an open area in the tundra. Krystal, a Cerian vixen and Fox's wingmen, hopped out of the ship. Her boots crushed some sticks that strewn the ground. She was on the hunt for him, for he'd been missing in action for almost a week and her directive was to either find him or confirm his death. Krystal shivered as the cold air swept across the plain of Russia, she pulled from her storage compartment a scouter and her combat pistol. Krystal pulled on her flight jacket that Fox had given her when she joined his team almost a year ago. The wind almost blew her on her back, not because it was a hard wind but it was a cold one. She pulled the hood over her head and zipped up the jacket, she got a temperature reading on her scouter -30 degrees Farenhieght. Jesus Christ, she thought, how can anyone stand to live here? She started walking until she heard a sound, it was the low humming of automatic and semi-automatic fire in the distance along with the occasional thump of an explosion. She ignored the sounds and kept walking. Big mistake, not half an hour later Krystal found herself in the middle of a battle and was being presued by two Nazis. The ran her until she could go no further unless she wanted to jump off an easily fourty foot cliff to her death (Warning this part contains a brief sexual reference). The Nazis move closer with their STGs leveled, Krystal was trapped, but suddenly they lowered their weapons and she saw one with a look on his face. Krystal was offended, for she had read their thoughts, Kill the men, kill the kids, but rape the women before you kill them. She could see the two Nazis drooling over her, but she knew she was taken, she leveled her pistol and shot the closest one between the legs before putting a round through the center of his forehead. The other one leveled his STG and fired, but Krystal was ready and rolled to her left and shot the other Nazi in the shoulder which sent him to the ground screaming in agony. She then flipped him 'the bird' and started down the hill and away from the Russian town of Stalingrad and heading southwest.
"Disgusting humans." Krystal said aloud without thinking. What she was thinking was how a person could be so sickly minded. She followed a trail of destruction left most likely by the Nazis. Krystal almost gagged at some of the sites, all the dead and dying made her sick to her stomach she took another step and heard a squishing sound, the ground was saturated with blood and she could hear humans moaning in agony. Suddenly a hand wrapped around her ankle, she looked down to see a male who'd been shot in the leg and was dying rather slowly.
"Are you an angel?" he asked
   "Sorry," Krystal said, "but no."
   "Are you German?"
   "No."
"Bless you then, please hand me my knife."
Krystal saw the steel four inch knife just out of the mans reach, she didn't bother to read his thoughts for she knew that they could be summed up in one word, suicide. She handed the knife to him.
"Why must you take your own life?" She asked him
"I have been abandoned by my brother, the rest of my family is dead and death refuses to take me. It comes at night but leaves me to suffer and I shall suffer no more." he replied
Krystal had seen enough death for one day and looked away as the Russian infantryman ran the blade across his wrist. He shouted, "No!"
She turned to see his wrist slit wide but not bleeding it was so cold his blood wouldn't run.
"Why, why can't I die?" he said then looked to the sky, "Could you damn me anymore!?"
Krystal could tell that he was cursing God for his suffering. She then felt his hand around her ankle again.
"That pistol of yours, use it, shoot me." he said
Krystal drew her pistol and aimed at the mans heart and pulled the trigger. The man died instantly. Was it right? She wondered, to kill those who want to die? She pushed that thought to the back of her mind and continued looking for Fox.

No, clearly, she's a line.

Fox cursed in native Lylatian, "Girakna!" (there is no point in translating or this topic might be locked.) He could see hundreds, maybe thousands, of freakbags as Dempsey would say heading their way. Dempsey looked at Fox with a confused look on his face.
   "What?" he said
"Nevermind," replied Fox, "tell Nicholai that more contacts are heading our way."
Dempsey nodded and went back to find Nicholai with an armful of M2 hand grenades
"Grenades?" Dempsey said a bit suprised at the Russian's find.
Nicholia replied jokingly, "Yes, you know how to use them; you pull the pin, count to three, and throw."
"Nick, Fox spotted more freaks coming our way."
Nicholai walked back to the room with the hole in the side after handing Dempsey four of the grenades. He stood next to Fox who pointed out of the hole at a huge black shadow which when magnified by a sniper scope had the dim glow of the zombie's yellow eyes.
"Oh if only Joey could see this." He said, he then handed four of the grenades to Fox.
Fox looked at Nicholai and grinned, "Nice find."
"I'm going to see what else I can find." Nicholai replied
   "What about that door downstairs?"
   "Locked."
Fox didn't say anything else, but instead walked downstairs and then to the door with the word 'help' written on it in white paint; he tried the knob, no luck it was really locked. Fox scoffed, not a problem, he thought. Fox took a step back and hurled his shoulder at the door. It didn't budge; Fox rolled his eyes then aimed his shotgun at the door and fired. The slug punched a hole in the simple wooden door; he then reloaded and hurled a kick and knocked the door off its hinges. Fox walked inside and looked around to see two windows and a hole in the concrete wall that lead into a tunnel; there was a glare in his perriphial vision; the vulpine turned to see a box with two question marks on top of it litterally glowing in the corner. The voice then started to speak to him saying, "Look up to see the light, remember that."
Fox growled in frustration, "Who are you?"
And the voice replied, "I am the lord of the undead forces outside of the house you now reside in and once you are dead none shall stand in my way and I shall rule this planet."
"Good; now we're aquainted, I have one question. What the hell is going on?"
   "This is a game; Fox."
Fox cocked his brow, "How do you know my name?"
And the voice chuckled then replied, "Did you ever wonder what happened to your dog tag?"
Fox unknowingly reached for his neck trying to feel his stainless steel silver CDF dog tag, and felt nothing but the fur on his neck. This wasn't the time to worry about that; he could get a new one when this was over.
Fox demanded an explaination asking, "What kind of sick game is this?"
The voice answered him saying, "A game of straitdgy and teamwork, and it will begin once all players are present. The four then must survive twenty waves of my children to win."
Confused; Fox said to him, "There is a fourth player."
"Yes," said the voice, "she will be here momentarily."
One part of the voices sentence caught his attention: she. Fox had known that human females were unable to join the military. Fox thought for a minute then growled, and demanded of the voice saying, "Where is she?"
And the voice laughed at him then answered saying, "Our friend is in the Soviet Union heading southeast and I shall bring her here in a few seconds."
And Fox said unto the voice, "Leave her out of this! She is ill-experienced."
But the voice laughed and said to him, "She is on her way in."

Krystal kept walking through the tundra of Siberia; dark clouds were rolling in fast and she knew that the heavens would soon open up and rain down on the frozen plain. She spotted a lightly forested area and headed there, she knew that she needed shelter before it rained or she would surely perish from hypothermia. She settled for a partially uprooted pine tree with a small cave like indentation in the soil beneath the roots. A moment later, heaven opened up and the rain fell like partily frozen bombs. Krystal knew she'd have to wait it out before she got moving again. She then drew her water canteen and attempted to take a drink; nothing. She could've swore that she'd filled her canteen before she left. To check she tipped it over and lightly shook it; all that emptied out was snow and ice. Unbelievable, she thought, it was so cold that, in spite being against her body and warmed by her body heat, her water had frozen over. Well; again she thought, so much for a drink. She then started focusing her telepathy and began listening for thoughts; an occasional thought showed up every now and then, but then she drifted into a meditative sleep. About an hour passed and Krystal's ear twitched; on the wind came a voice of death and demonic origins.
"Who's there?" Krystal said after rolling to her feet and leveling her pistol.
And the demonic voice replied to her, "Welcome to the game, Krystal."
Before she could question she was struck by a blue lightning bolt. She found herself not in the universe any longer, but in a rift of somekind.

Fox heard the bang of thunder outside; he turned around and walked to the window and saw that an oil drum had caught fire; out of no where the drum detonated; sending shrapnel flying in all directions. Fox ducked to avoid any that flew his way.

Krystal's vision faded in and out; a moment she heard the thunder of an explosion that collided with her ear drums. She shouted at the pain of her sensititve ears that rang out in a high pitch.

Fox heard a scream and looked out to see Krystal's figure on the ground; he tried to get her attention he began shouting her name.

Krystal couldn't hear much however she could here her name being called by Fox. Her ears stopped ringing and her vision cleared. She started to stand but something jumped on her; she rolled over to she an ex-human about to bite her throat when it's head exploded and blood dripped on her face. Ignoring this she ran to Fox without thinking, and to him she said, "What is going on?"
And Fox replied, "I not too sure but..."
The conversation was cut off by a charging zombie who hurled himself at Krystal, but she ducked and it collided with the wooden barricade that blocked off the window. It went through and Fox shot it in the face with his shotgun and reloaded.
   "Whew," said Krystal, "Thanks Fox."
"Look get in here and I'll explain later." Answered the vulpine male.
Krystal climbed over the sand bags and into the house, she stumbled and ended up in Fox's arms; she blushed.
"Don't worry, Krystal, we'll be okay." said Fox.
Krystal held on to him for a second longer then the couple walked over to the mysterious box. The demon voice then chuckled and said unto them, "This is prescious; two lovers and two haters; a perfect hunt."
And Fox answered to the voice saying,"Alright enough of this nonsense, what is the deal about this box?"
The voice answered, "You want a gun? Open the box. You want a better gun? Open it again. This will grant you a random gun from anywhere in the universe."
Fox then rolled his eyes, "Forget this; I'm taking this thing up."
Fox then grabbed the box and walked up the steps with Krystal following. They got up stairs to see Dempsey finish off a zombie with his Trench gun.
Fox pondered the voice's words and after careful consideration he flipped the latches on the box.
Fox saw one gun in the bottom of the box that started to rise out of it changing as it did. When it was at about head level it stopped in the form of a Thompson submachine gun. Fox took the gun and handed it to Krystal.
"Trust me, save your pistols ammo, it's the best here." said Fox.
Krystal took the rifle and grinned at Fox. Dempsey happened to see the Thompson and his brow raised.
"How'd you get a Thomy gun?" asked the American marine.
Krystal answered, "This box gave it to me."
"I'm guessing that's this 'Krystal' you were sulking over earlier?" said Dempsey
   Krystal turned to Fox.
"I thought I was going to die," Fox said to Krystal, "and I wouldn't be able to tell you..." Fox stopped.
Krystal smiled at him. Fox then flipped the box open again this time a rifle called the B.A.R. came out of the box. Fox grabbed it and almost lost his balance because it was nearly ten pounds. Dempsey then decided to open the box, the gun that appeared was an MG42 mobile machine gun and after that Nicholai opened the box and recieved his favorite rifle the Russian PPsh-71. Nicholai gave a smirk and said, "So many bullets, so little time."
Fox then tried his luck a second time and got a strange looking rifle that had three car fuses on the side. He looked on the side of the rifle and saw the name.
"Uh...what the hell is a WonderWaffle?" asked Fox
"I guess we'll find out later." said Nicholai.
Krystal said she'd try one more time. This time a battle scared teddy bear came out. This got everyone to say, "What the hell is this?"
Then the demon voice proclaimed, "This fight is over; teddy destroys the box."
Nicholai shrugged, "Eh...I don't need that damn box."
   The voice laughed.
"Anyone ever tell you you laugh like a girl!" taunted Dempsey.
The voice just laughed as the box floated up and vanished in a puff of smoke.

Part 2 The road to Wermechantna
   Krystal cursed, "Girakna."
Fox shook his head, "Who in their right mind puts something like that in there?"
   "A jackass." answered Dempsey
"Well thanks to that damn thing were screwed." Added the Russian
Fox did not like it but thanks to that simple teddy bear they were going to die pretty soon. Girakna, Fox cursed in his mind. He cursed to voice and himself for opening the box in the first place, and he also cursed himself for getting shot down and dragging Krystal into this whole mess; such a fool; a dumb fool; a damn fool. But at that moment; when all hope for survival had faded into the dark of Fox's mind his eye happened to look out of the window.
"Hold the phone," said Fox as he walked to the window. He saw a bright gold light on the horizon and immedeatly his brain clicked; remembering what the voice had said. Fox smiled.
"Look up to see the light." he quoted, "clever."
Dempsey then looked at Fox, "What are you babbling about?"
And the vulpine answered, "Look when I broke into the help room the voice said for me to remember this phrase, 'look up to see the light' and now I see what it's talking about."
"Uh, I still don't see your point."
Fox said nothing but pointed out of the window at the beam of gold light on the horizon. Dempsey then nodded now getting what Fox said.
Dempsey chuckled, "Looks like we're going outside."
"Lets just be careful Tank." warned Nicholai
"I've got a bad feeling about this." said Fox
"Don't worry Fox we'll be fine, if I remember you saying so." said Krystal.
Fox nodded and the four headed out of Untodon; following a path of light that resided on the horizon. They walked for several hours before fatigue stopped them dead in their tracks. They had covered almost ten miles before being stopped, not bad. The group set up a small camp off of the trail to avoid the zombies, but as a precaution they had someone on watch just in case. Fox was that one on guard. He watched the surrounding area and espically the way they'd come off the road.
   "You're still up," said Krystal
   Fox sighed, "Yeah,"
   "You want a break?"
"I don't mind being on watch."
   "You want some company?"
"Uh...I..." Fox stuttered then he got it together, "Sure."
Krystal sat down next him, with her Thompson in her hands.
They stared into the dark for about an hour until Krystal dozed off. Fox wasn't suprised when she did, it was her first time pulling a haul like this one and she'd been pushed to her absolute limit, Fox stayed up for about another hour then passed out.

The morning came and Fox awoke to see the sun in the sky. Well, he thought, my first night in unknown territory.
The vulpine shook Krystal awake. She stirred and sat up holding her head.
   "Morning," said Fox
She smiled and stood as did Fox; the two walked over to find Dempsey smoking a cigarette. The marine exhaled a puff of smoke and sighed.
"You guys ready to move out?" Fox asked.
Dempsey tossed his cigarette to the ground and stomped it out.
   "Lets get moving," said Dempsey.
   Fox asked, "Where's Nick?"
Dempsey shrugged, "I think he passed out over there."
Dempsey pointed over by a tree maybe a few meters from him. Fox walked over to the tree and kicked him lightly. The Russian stirred and awoke.
Fox rolled his eyes, "C'mon Nick get up we're moving out."
"Fine, just don't kick me again." said Nicholai
The group continued walking until they came to a small town; they still had an eye on the light of the box. The group walked in a square through the town. A smart decesion when your enemy could ambush you at any moment. The square of four made it almost impossible to get surrounded. They kept moving until they lost track of the light as the sun glared it out.
"Ah," Dempsey said, "I hate this freaking box and it damn light."
"Well we wouldn't be better off in Untodon," Fox replied, "We would've had to abandon it when we ran out of ammo."
"Point taken, but now we're lost in Germany, and the box is still missing."
Fox took a few steps forward and his ears picked up a clicking sound; Fox rolled to his right as a Bouncing Betty anti-personal mine jumped up and exploded.

Part 3 The zombie asylum: Verrucket
Fox stood up and training kicked in; he shouted for everyone to move to him. When Krystal took a step her boot pulled a thin string and the vixen's ears picked up the sound of a bow string tightening. She turned to see a volley of old arrows falling her way; she moved to Fox as fast as her legs would allow her to. The arrows punched the ground behind her as she ran past Fox into the building behind him; as did Dempsey and Nicholai. Fox slammed the wooden door shut as the arrows punched the door. Fox signed in relief, but their troubles were far from over, for once the door had shut the whole room began to shake and the first thing he did was shove Krystal into the next room and then roll after her as the entire enterance way collapsed. Fox stood and helped Krystal up then he apologized.
"Well now where are we?" asked Dempsey.
Fox looked around and saw a sign on the wall that read
Wermachena Asylum
The group started looking around now wondering what to do; they were stuck in some building that could collapse at any minute and with a hoard of undead on their tails with all intent to kill them this was the least of their worrys. Dempsey looked out of the window in front of him and said, "I think we should head there."
Fox looked at the window next to Dempsey's and saw a room glowing blue with sparks falling out the window and dropping to the ground. Krystal followed Fox as he started to try and pry a door open using a piece of wood, but the moment she stepped through a doorway the lights started flickering and a door slammed behind her. The power was dead, and the group was separated.
Krystal started pounding on the door hoping it would open; no luck.
"Dempsey, Nicholai, head to that room on the other side of the Asylumget it on as soon as you can." ordered Fox.
Dempsey (being as stubborn as an ox) protested, "Fox, you have a door to pry open and Nick and I would have to clear a stair case. I think you should get the power on."
"Fair arguement; we'll get the power back on as soon as possible." replied the vulpine. Fox then turned to Krystal, "Cover me while I get the door open."
Krystal nodded and readied for anything. There was a scream, and she turned to see in the courtyard outside; zombies rising out of the ground. She leveled her Thompson and fired a few bursts taking three down. Fox stuck the wooden stick he'd found earlier into the crack between the two steel doors and pulled as hard as he could. Grr, he growled, what I would give for a crowbar right about now. Finally the doors rolled open and they went through, Fox noticed the stair case that was blocked by debris.
Fox slapped his forehead, "You have got to be joking!"
Krystal drew out of Fox's pocket one of the M2 grenades pulled the pin and rolled it under the debris, the resulting explosion sent the debris scattering across the room.
"And the stairs were cleared," said Krystal.
Fox thought, wish I thought of that earlier. In all the running Fox had completely forgotten about the M2s that Nicholai had given him in Untodon. The two moved up stairs and to another set of steel doors. Fox looked around and found what he wish he'd had earlier; a crowbar. He grabbed it and stuck the steel bar between the doos and forced them open. They moved through all the while using their ammo to pick off zombies that had made the mistake of following. Fox rounded a corner and looked into another set of doors and saw two things they needed; the power switch and the mystery box. Without hesitation he forced the doors open with the crowbar and was about to flip the switch when he noticed the severed hand hanging on to it. He'd worry about that later and flipped the switch up.
Dempsey and Nicholai had their hands full with zombies until the doors that wouldn't budge opened and they ran through reuniting with Fox and Krystal. Fox opened fire on the zombies following them, as Dempsey taunted them saying, "I thought I told you we weren't on the menu."
"You have no fear Dempsey," Nicholai commented, "like me."
"Not the time for taunting guys!" Fox shouted. "I could use some help."
A zombie managed to jump at Fox and land on him. The undead human stomped on his chest with it's steel toed boots. Fox felt a rib crack as the human kicked him aside. He tried to stand, but the pain brought him down. He drew his pistol and made sure they didn't forget he was still alive; then fired into the endless hoard of zombine ranks taking three down and wounding five others. Finally one acknowledged his exsistence and tossed him out a window. Fox expected to fall to his death but he hit a balcony instead; he couldn't stand because of the emense pain that shot through his body. Finally he forced himself up as an adreniline surge kicked in; the vulpine was pissed now and without grabbing a gun he charged in and began demonstraing what a black belt in hapkiedo can do. A zombie charged him and he tripped it and stepped on its chest, then using a two-finger fist struck its head, his finger punched a hole in the undead flesh of the ex-human's head. Three others rushed him, Fox just grinned as if he'd been possessd by a demon; he jump kicked two in the face then as he fell to the ground the vulpine tail whipped the last one's throat. Blood spewed out of the humans juggular vein; he didn't realize how hard his tail had stuck the zombie but he felt no pitty, for now wasn't the time for pitty. Fox could fell his adrenline wereing off; the vulpine moved into the power room and drew the first gun he could get his hands on from his back. It turned out he grabbed the WonderWaffle; not caring he squeezed the trigger. A lightning bolt shot out of the barrel and struck the closest zombie; the bolt traveled to one behind that one and ended up traveling all the way down stairs, putting every undead freak in the asylum back in their graves. As the last one died; Fox's adrenline surge wore off and dropped to his knees. Krystal looked up from behind a door that Dempsey had forced open. She saw Fox on his knees and coughing. Immeaditaly she rushed to his side, and Dempsey and Nicholai covered both doors.
"Wow Fox, you just..." she stopped.
"I'll be fine, just help me up." said Fox; he hissed at the pain of his possibly broken ribs. Krystal took his hand and helped him up, they readied for another onslaught but instead they heard the voice from earlier.
"Congradulations," it said, "you've survived the first wave and managed to also survive first level as well. But I can promise you, you will not survive this place; welcome to Verrucket: the Zombie insane asylum."
"How original," Fox said, "an insane asylum with zombies in it; never seen that before."
The voice growled, "Not original eh? We'll see about that Fox; just wait."
Oh man, Fox thought, me and my big mouth are going to get me killed someday. Fox suddenly heard a loud crash, and he intisntivly leveled his rifle.
"I would save the Waffle's ammo if I were you," suggested Dempsey.
Fox strapped the Waffle to his back and leveled his shotgun. Suddenly the voice gave an order saying, "Fetch me their souls!"
The word 'fetch' gave Fox a bad feeling and suddenly appearing in bolts of blue lightning were black rotwielers with bloodied teeth and glowing yellow eyes. They started barking upon seeing them. Fox for a strange reason refused to fight these Hellhounds. He didn't know why but he knew it had something to do with the fact that they were a cousin spieces andhe hated watching Lylatians die on the field of combat and he wasn't about to be the killer of some kind of cousin. Fox then realized he should've left his feelings at home; show no simpothy; for once it clicked that they were already partily dead one had pounced on him and he reacted with no more remorse and no sense of mercy; Fox grabbed the dog's head and spun it as hard as he could; the vulpine's ears detected a satisfing crack. The male then stood and dusted himself off ready for more. He got his wish; five more dogs charged through the doors. Fox grinned and fired off his shotgun's slugs. The round punched holes in the hounds, but the didn't return to the ground, rather they combusted and jumped on him again, but this time a bullet save him; Krystal and her new red pistol fired at the dogs, killing them instantly. Fox's face was drenched in blood and he stood up; now reloading his shotgun as Dempsey and Nicholai came out with their machine gun blazing fire. The dogs fell one after the other as rounds flew through the air and into their mangled and damp fur. Fox's shotgun spat its last round and he then leveled his B.A.R. and fired. The dogs stopped coming after a few minutes and they regrouped.
The voice started speaking again, "Hows that for original?"
Fox was about to comment, but instinct to him to keep his mouth shut and this time he listened. Instead he ignored it and walked to the box and opened it. The weapon assumed many forms before stopping on a gun he'd seen before: a Moray automatic. Fox tossed his empty shot gun aside and took the weapon out. He examined it and found his name etched into the side. This was his rifle; he hadn't gotten a chance to use it yet, so he figured now would be able to test it. Nicholai moved to the box and opened it recieving an FG42 assault rifle. Dempsey then opened it and got a bottle of whiskey with a piece of cloth in the end of it. Dempsey curse, "I have the worst luck."
"Why? What are those, Tank?" asked Fox
"Malotiev cocktails. Essentially a bottle of whisky with a burning cloth fuse. A bomb in other words."
Fox shrugged, "At least you didn't get that damn bear."
Krystal opened the box recieved another strange weapon, a marching cymbal monkey with dynamite sticks on its back.
   "Aw, cute." joked Dempsey
"The perfect children's toy." added Fox
The two laughed, but Krystal just raised her brow then shrugged and set the monkey/bomb hybrid in Nicholai's backpack. Fox then opened the box again and recieved the red pistol that Krystal had.
"Exactly what does this shoot?" asked the vulpine as he looked down the site he spotted a stray zombie and pulled the trigger. A green ball of plasma shot out and burned the zombie's head off.
"Okay, I'm keeping this." he said as he set it in his holster.
Dempsey then looked out and saw a machine.
   "Hey," Dempsey said, "what's that?"
Fox looked and saw the machine; it resembled a soda vending machine and they moved in to get some fluid in their systems; Dempsey was sweating profusely and he wiped his forehead. Fox and the others were no exceptions they were dehydrated and needed a drink. When they got to the machine it read on the front: Speed Cola. Fox kicked the machine and the plastic covering cracked open and he drew out four of the lime green bottles then passed them out.
"I don't care if it's a nasty drink," Fox said prying of the cap, "I'll drink anything at this point."
Fox tipped the bottle and chuged the soda in a few seconds. He nearly lost it, that soda tasted like rotting fish guts. But on benifit came with it, he felt as if he were somewhat faster now.
"God, that tasted disgusting," Krystal commented, "but I feel...different."
"You feel a lot faster," Fox said, "don't you?"
   Krystal nodded.
Dempsey and Nicholai finished theirs and tossed the glass bottles aside.
"Blessed ghost," Nicholai said, "that almost made me sober."
Dempsey didn't comment on the taste. Rather the started moving throughout the asylum looking for supplies, in their search Fox came across two other soda machines, one gave a drink called Juggarnog juice and the other gave Double Tap soda. They took the drinks and now all felt like they could take on an army of zombies without breaking a sweat. However problems arose when they regrouped at the power room, the box was once again gone.

"Are you an angle?" he asked
   "Sorry, but no." Krystal replied
No, clearly, she's a line.

Dude, we went over this last time. Proofreading and formatting. Same applies for your first post.

Yes, but it's intersecting with another one. It's not hard to mistake that for an angle!

ModbreakHi there. Leave the biting sarcasm to me, thanks. It's kinda my job to be a jerk and police the writing board for obvious typos and such; conversely, it's not your job to come back over me and continue biting at a mistake that the author has already fixed.

Part 4: To find the Box...
They four looked at each other, but no one spoke. Theyknew that during their search someone had opened the box and now it was only God knew where. Though it seemed like a small delimia on their list of problems; without it the only guns they had were a few assault rifles, one machine gun that ate entire ammo boxes for snacks, and two very different weapons. Finally Fox broke the scilence.
"Who opened the box?" he said.
"Fox you know it wasn't me," Krystal said, "I was down stairs with you looking around for weapons and other things."
Dempsey raised his hands, "I was in the courtyard making sure the freaks stayed in the ground."
Nicholai said nothing. The three looked at him as he sipped some vodka. He then noticed that they were staring at him. He shrugged his shoulders.
"Don't look at me; I was with Tank." said the Russian.
Dempsey looked at him with his brow raised, "No you weren't; you went in after about two minute."
"Look it doesn't matter who opened it as long as we can find it before..." Fox was cut off when a zombie shouted. The four readied for the onslaught to begin after about a minute of waiting the first zombie finally appeared, but it was missing its legs. Fox spared it any misery and shot it in the face with his B.A.R.
   "Uh...was that it?" Fox asked.
"I guess," said Dempsey, "looks like the Bettys got them."
   "Bettys?"
"Nick found some Bouncing Bettys and set them up all over the down stairs."
That was good and bad at the same time; good because the zombies would have a harder time getting upstairs, and bad because now they were stuck upstairs.
"Now that the box is gone, we should leave this place." said Krystal, "we need to find it again."
Fox agreed; the sooner they found it the better. He looked out of the window to see the light of the box on the horizon. He pointed and said they should head that way.
"Problem," Dempsey said, "how do we get down stairs without setting off Nick's Bettys?"
Fox smiled and smashed the window's glass with the B.A.R. and jumped out. He fell about ten feet before tucking into a roll and landing safely in the courtyard. The others followed and they found a hole in the asylum wall and sprinted for their lives as more undead began chasing them. Fox looked over his shoulder to see that they were being followed by not only zombies but by the Hellhounds as well. He quickly turned his attention forward.
"Don't look back!" he shouted they made it outside of Whermachena and into the woods. They kept running with an occasional spin-around-and-fire to keep some distance between them and the undead soldiers and their dogs. Finally they had thown them off of their trails. Fox hid behind a tree and peered around the trunk; he quickly pulled back around noticing the Hellhounds using their sense of smell. Fox knew he needed to disgise his sent and quickly started looking for anything that would mask his sent. He spotted a ditch filled to capacity with what seemed like swamp water; he plugged his nose and jumpped in. He quickly noticed that the others had the same idea. Krystal looked over the bank of the ditch and saw the undead hounds move on deeper into the woods. Krystal sighed in relief; they crawled out of the ditch.
She snarled in disgust as she and the others smelled like a swamp. Digisting; yes; effective; yes, they'd thrown them off and now just needed to find the box.
"Well," said Fox, "let's get going; if we can cover the same distance we covered last time the box disappeared then we should be able to find it by morning."
Dempsey agreed as did Krystal and Nicholai. They started walking not knowing what would lay ahead for them. At nightfall they arrived at a strange what seemed to be a prison of some kind.

Part 5: Welcome to Hell: The zombie creation factory: Der Riese
Fox stood awestruck by this prison's sheer size. Exploring this place would take a while and they knew it.  Fox spotted a central platform and sprinted up the steps. As he got up; a machine closed its steel door and he heard a recorded voice say, "Power level insuficant; please restore."
"Great, another power switch." he said.
"Freaks on their way!" he heard Dempsey shout.
   "Guys up here!"
They moved up and started shooting. The zombies started dropping as well as their hounds. Dempsey saw inside of the pod a machine with the words 'Pack-a-Punch' on it. Dempsey scoffed.
"Pack-a-Punch...must've been named after me." he commented. The group started looking around for some kind of power switch. Fox saw one area that looked like it may be the power room; only problem it was blocked off by a barrbed wire fence. Fox could've cared less and ran at the fence using his B.A.R. vaulted over the fence and ran through the hallway he found the power switch and flipped it up. Fox wondered to himself how he made that jump only to remember he had drank that Speed cola which enhaced his speed and reflexes. The vulpine saw a bridge made of steel extend over a roof top; he turned to see Krystal and the others had followed him and jumped the fence as well. Fox found the box behind the power generator and opened it to find an oversized football-like bomb.
"Whoa; a tac-bomb?" he said suprised.
   "A tac-what?" Dempsey asked.
"I think I know how to end this, but we'll need to get the Pack-a-Punch machine open."
"I think we need to link these things somehow." said Krystal standing by a strange looking pod.
"Dempsey, Nicholai, check the rest of this place for these things." Fox said to them. He then tossed them each a spair scouter. They moved out and Fox ran back to the center room and up the high ground. The display to his right flickered and he hit a red button and suddenly Krystal appeared on the center piece. Dempsey's voice came over the com
"I'm at the...whatever it is." he said.
"Tank," Fox replied, "press the button and wait inside."
Dempsey did just what Fox said and ended up back at the center, but lost his scouter in the process. The same happened with Nicholai.
Fox turned and saw the machine was opened. He set the bomb in the machine and it spit it out as a black bomb.
The zombies started coming through; screaming as they went; the guns leveled and fired. Zombie gore sprayed the floor as the rounds traced through the air. Fox finally drew his WonderWaffle and fired off one of the fuses which killed a majority of them.
"We have to get out of here." Fox said
"But what about the tac-bomb; what's that supposed to do?" Dempsey asked.
Fox didn't know where to place the upgraded bomb, but Krystal did.
"You guys get out of here." She said, "I'll place the bomb."
   "Krystal, you'll die!" Fox protested.
   "Trust me, I'll be okay."
"I never leave a man in the..."
Before he could finish his sentence Krystal had used her powers and knocked Fox unconscious. She then looked at Dempsey and Nicholai.
"Take him out of here." she said.
Dempsey nodded but Nicholai had to say something.
"You have to be the bravest woman I've ever met." he said.
   She nodded, "Go!"
Dempsey picked up Fox and started walking out of Der Riese with Nicholai following. Krystal watched as they disappeared into the fog. Krystal sighed and held the bomb in her hand. She picked up Fox's WonderWaffle with her other hand. The zombies began to gather around the high grounds and she fired off the last fuse killing most of them; it wasn't enough, they started up the steps and headed for her. She was calm and her breathing was controlled. She pressed the red button on the display and the Pack-a-Punch machine's pod started to close. Krystal tossed the bomb into the air and did a back flip as the door shut, the bomb detonated and Der Riese was leveled by an enormous explosion. It was as if an atom bomb had just gone off and turned all of the life in the factory into ashes.
Fox regained consciousness in time to see Der Riese blossom into a ball of roaring flames. It clicked in his mind that Krystal wasn't present.
   "Where is she?" he asked
Dempsey said nothing as well as Nicholai. The humans looked down. Fox felt a tear run down his cheek and drop to the ground he dropped to his knees and pinched the soil. Suddenly Dempsey tackled Fox as a huge piece of debris slammed the ground where Fox had been.
   "Is that..?" Dempsey asked.
"Thats the pod that the Pack-a-Punch machine was in." Fox finished
He wiped the dust off of the window as a blue furred fist punched the glass out. Fox chuckled.
"You've got guts you know?" he said with a smile on his face.
"Yes I know Fox." Krystal replied.
Fox clasped Krystal's hand and pulled her out of the pod; he held her tight.
"Don't ever scare me like that again; if you died I..." he stopped when Krystal set her finger on his mouth.
"You talk too much." she said.
"And God said let her live and it was so." Nicholai said.
"Lets call the CDF; were going home."
A few hours passed and the Great Fox landed nearby. Fox and Krystal boarded and the ship left the planet.
