Welcome to Arwing Landing, a site dedicated to Nintendo's Star Fox series.  Within this website you will find detailed information about each and every Star Fox title, based upon gathered information and personal experiences.  We also boast the entire English translation of all three Star Fox comics, in .zip and uncompressed forms, some of which are found in a quality no other site can match.  Meanwhile, our image galleries contain a vast collection of screenshots, artwork (some of it exclusively found here), and fan-created peices. To submit your artwork, you need only register for our forums.   Finally, our Articles section is a unique and diverse collection of articles on Star Fox, written by myself and other contributors.  So please, feel at home.

[ Downtimes ] - 04 . 21 . 08
-----------------------------------------------------------

. / / Hot off the heels of our last major crash (it's an annual occurrence, it seems), our server's mySQL database is currently down. The reason being is unknown, but I think we can be pretty confident that it was not the doing of our site. Last week's crash, which is explained fully on the News section of the forum (read it if/when we go back online), did not kill the database, it just suspended access to the forum's data. So this is definitely a new or unrelated issue.

If you're bored or just want to get some status updates on what's up or when we'll be back online, you can join us in the IRC channel in the meantime. All the information you need is to the right of this post -- just go find an IRC client you like. Otherwise, sorry for the rough couple of days we've been having, and thank you for being so patient. / /

[ Wolf O'Donnell is prepared to Brawl ] - 02 . 01 . 08
-----------------------------------------------------------

. / / Though many are undoubtedly more happy to see their favorite blue bird returning once more to the world of Smash Bros, it is was finally confirmed that Wolf would be among the many hidden characters in the forthcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Like Falco, he is a clone of Fox, though his move set is based off of slower and stronger attacks. As for his final smash, Wolf will use a red and black... Landmaster. Yes, once again, it seems the Star Fox series has been given the short end of the stick by Nintendo. But at least there's some progress being made. Now can we have a Star Fox Wii, Mr. Iwata?

For more on both of these characters, check out the Hidden Characters article on IGN.com (warning: lots of spoilers are present).

Brawl hits the US on March 9th for the Nintendo Wii and will feature online combat as well as the new Subspace Emissary mode. For more on the game, visit the official Smash Bros. website. / /

[ Dylan Cuthbert Explains the Creation of Starfox for the SNES ] - 11 . 27 . 07
-----------------------------------------------------------

. / / 1UP recently sat down with Dylan Cuthbert, formerly of Argonaut and currently the head honcho of Q Games (Star Fox Command's developer), to discuss what went into the making of the groundbreaking Super FX chip and its most prominent feature-bearing title, Starfox for the Super Nintendo/Famicom. You can view the video, which is the first part of their 1UP show program, by using the following link. He's a bit dry to listen to, but there's some great footage of the game in its earliest and alpha stages.

[ Tales of Corneria ] - 08 . 28 . 07
-----------------------------------------------------------

. / / After many long months with no updates to the site, I am very proud tonight to be here to announce something special. Over 18 months in the making, and with countless hours clocked in by everyone involved, Arwing Landing is pleased to offer all of you Tales of Corneria Episode One: Farewell Falco.

The first ever 100% fan-made fully-3D shooter, Tales of Corneria takes the story of the Star Fox Adventures manga and turns it into a playable experience. Based on an engine built from scratch in Dark Basic Pro and designed as a tribute to Star Fox 64, the game features multiple paths and boss fights across the world of Titania, featuring all of the classic Star Fox moves, gameplay, action and scenarios. As Fox races after his lifelong friend and fellow team member Falco Lombardi to the planet's surface, he uncovers a sinister plot involving old friends and familiar enemies. Once again, it's up to Fox to save the day, thus beginning the first of hopefully several Tales of Corneria.

On behalf of Arwing Landing and Blink, our longtime moderator and Director of Tales of Corneria, I would like to thank all of those who have made this game possible. From modelers to texture artists to composers, this game and all that it stands for would have been impossible without you. Thank you to Nintendo, for creating a series that has brought millions joy and inspired many to follow their dreams and let their talents soar. And thank you to all of the other Star Fox fans, be you new or old, casual or hardcore. This game is for you.

Thanks to one of our forum members, we now have a complete .mp3 archive of the original Star Fox 2 OST for download.
